The most common comparison people draw when discussing the situation of David, Chiriqui is that of Liberia, Costa Rica.  Due to it’s busy international airport, over the past several years, Liberia has benefited from tremendous growth in the tourism sector.  What are the lessons that can be learned from an in-depth comparison case study analysis of the two cities?  It is our hypothesis that the seat traffic for David Chiriqui is structurally different of that of Liberia, Costa Rica.  In many ways, David represents a better opportunity for a major carrier to initiate operations with international connectivity.
